Why Crunchyroll? I had just given up hope that this would be legally streamed and caved and watched the first episode fansubbed. No you go making me feel all guilty.

That's all fairly petty, though. I have a reason to keep my premium membership now!

Although, since this is a noitaminA show, I had thought Funi would get it. No complaints, though.

No. 6 is going to be awesome in 720p, I mean, that animation is very well done. Gah, debit card come faster so I can waste all my money!

The No. 6 simulcast is only available to U.S. and Canadian users so it might be a shared simulcast with FUNi but that's just what I have heard.

Yay for delayed releases!

Crunchyroll really needs to start stepping their game up with having releases closer to when they air. They really dropped the ball this season with over half of their releases being delayed

I'd say the delay has to do more with niconico's parent company's relationship with the rights holder than anything on CR's part. I'm sure they got a first week exclusive deal. Even if No. 6 is also shown on Funi I'm sure glad it is also on CR. Trying to watch something on Funi's site is horrendous due to the embedded hulu player which won't even allow you to view it in "480 p." Going to their youtube page is a little better, but not nearly up to par with CR.

When you are a paying customer, you shouldn't have to wait a few days to a week, especially if a free service has it earlier.

This pretty much. And Batou, Funi uses their own player now instead of the hulu one and I haven't had any trouble with it yet.

Personally, I always go to Hulu nowadays to view all of Funimation's simulcasts (and other titles that are not on Netflix), since I can watch in 480p.

I thought perhaps you were in Canada until you made reference to "the embedded hulu player".

Actually a full week for the four Kadokawa titles.

The fact that NicoNico is free really has nothing to do with it. What matters is the contracts Kadokawa has with NicoNico and Crunchyroll. Unfortunately, CR got the short end of the stick, and the choice was either accept what is, or do without.

Don't forget that NicoNico's parent company is invested in Kadokawa and visa versa.

Can Nico's player do real full screen (not full browser)? If I didn't have a paid CR membership I'd still choose CR to Nico for that reason alone.

Great. I was actually just thinking about cancelling my subscription. The only thing I'm watching right now is Blue Exorcist and Steins;Gate and I might even drop the latter and neither I really need to watch in HD or the first week.

If they've got No. 6 though then that's more than enough reason to keep paying for the summer season.

Strange I still get the embedded Hulu player on their site with simulcasts like Aria or [C] for instance.... it's not a matter of problems with the player, more so a lack in video quality. When you fullscreen a 360p Hulu video at a 480 bitrate to a largescreen TV it looks pretty garbled. Confused I have on occasion had some of their vids play in their own player though (the one with the red play button in the center right?) But then again I guess it's really neither here nor there.

You may have missed my reply earlier, but is there any reason you can't go to Hulu itself, where you can chose 480p instead of 360p?

I was kinda hoping for a Hulu simulcast because I have Hulu Plus (which is, by the way, basically useless) and it would be nice to not have to pay the additional fee for CR when they don't have exclusive rights to any other show I'm watching... so I think I'm gonna wait and see if Funi ends up getting this show.

It's what I do too. Only time I ever go to FUNi's website is for the news they post and sometimes not even then, as I usually get my anime news here.
