... I feel like these should be separate news stories. They're about different works(Soul Eater/FLowers of Evil) in different magazines(Monthly Gangan/Bessatsu) from different publishers(Squenix/Kodansha).
Mixed bag; not sure I want Soul Eater to end just yet, but if it does, an anime reboot could be likely with a finite amount of material to adapt. |

Amen to that. I haven't been following the manga at all, but I'm kinda excited for it to end if that means Soul Eater Brotherhood would be a thing. Wonder what this would mean for Not as well. |

The creator of Soul Eater has confirmed that the manga is ending in one of his comments, that was published in the magazine. I believe he said something a long the lines of "Chapter 108 is going to be the first chapter in the final volume of Soul Eater" and judging by the fact that there are on average 5 or so chapters per volume, the manga will probably be 112 chapters long and finish in July.
I personally believe the chances of a Soul Eater anime remake are very high particularly since BONES announced that they were making a new version of a "familiar" title. Soul Eater seems the most likely. Also to note, BONES is not currently airing an anime, nor have they announced any, this could be a sign that their next series is going to be a long one, and if this is the case, it will most likely be Soul Eater. I look forward to seeing how they wrap this all up. |

Oh how I wish it will be the case, a long running anime series of Soul Eater, faithful to the manga, until the canon ending! That would be so great! |

If Soul Eater does indeed get a new anime, I hope it picks up where the original series diverged rather than the full Brotherhood treatment.

Called it. I mean, it was obviously coming to an end. And it would be great if it got the Brotherhood treatment! There's no way they could continue from that terrible, cut-off ending they did.

Wait...my idol, Makoto Raiku reads Aku no Hana? Well crap, now I feel obligated to read it!
Anyway regarding Soul Eater it was pretty apparent in the recent chapters that it was closer to the end than it was the beginning and I think EVERYBODY had a gut feeling that it was going to receive a reboot since FMA brotherhood. but still, its nice to receive some confirmation and it will be interesting to see how Ohkubo manages to end it from here within a volume's time consideringspoiler[Maka, Black star and Kid are actually fighting the Kinshin now on the frikkin moon and Kid seems to have awakened as a shinegami] Either way getting the baba yaga castle arc animated will be the thing I look forward to the most. |

I only recently got caught up on Soul Eater, but I had a feeling it was coming to an end anyway. All of the stuff happening in it right now just screams 'final chapter' to me. Can't wait to see how it all comes to an end.
And even though I enjoyed the first Soul Eater anime, count me among those who would be thrilled to see a 'Brotherhood' for it. Now if only Bones would do the same for Ouran since it's manga is over too... |

As long as they animate the adventures in the "Book of Eibon", I don't really care if they start over or "continue". (altho yes, the end of the original anime was terrible) |
