Nausicaa in Korea

According to Higher's Korean Animation website, run by a Korean Anime by the name of Higher, some Japanese Anime features will be released in Korea in the near future. Production I.G's Jin-Roh will be released on December 2nd and Miyazaki's Nausicaä of the Valley of Wind will be released on December 16th, and everyone's favorite, Pokémon will see a Korean release on the 23rd December.

What is significant about this news is that Korea has, up until recently, prohibited the importation of any and all Japanese pop culture. Up until the end of the 2nd world was Korea was a Japanese colony, giving rise to anti-Japanese sentimentality after the war.
