Seven Seas: 2010 was Best Sales Year So Far

posted on by Gia Manry
North American publisher's president credits "being lean"

North American manga publisher Seven Seas revealed via its Twitter account on Wednesday that the company had its best year for sales since the company's 2004 launch. Says president and founder Jason DeAngelis:

Being lean has worked to Seven Seas' advantage in 2010. It was our best year yet for sales. Thanks to everyone for supporting our books.

In a follow-up post, DeAngelis also credited "excellent distribution" by Tor Books, with whom Seven Seas has partnered since 2007. DeAngelis suggested earlier in the day that the company might consider branching out into comics that are not "manga-style."
