Organizers of Montreal's Otakuthon 2011 announced that they will host Japanese voice actress and singer Halko Momoi during their August 12–14 event.

As a voice actress, Momoi is credited in over 30 animated titles including Ai Yori Aoshi, the anime adaptation of Tales of the Abyss and the ongoing series Steins;Gate. As a musical artist, Momoi teamed up with guitarist Masaya Koike forming the band UNDER17 and created the opening themes to the anime series Kujibiki Unbalance and DearS. Though the group broke up in 2004, Momoi has since went on to pursue an individual music career and eventually create her own production label, “Akihabara Love Records.”

Momoi has previously attended and performed multiple times at North American anime conventions including Anime Expo in 2007, Anime North in 2008, as well as FanimeCon for the past three years.

Otakuthon 2011 will also host North American voice actress Maile Flanagan, voice actor Crispin Freeman, cosplay celebrity Yaya Han, web comic writer Ryan Sohmer, web comic artist Lar deSouza, comic artist Karl Kerschl, and voice actor Steve Downes as guests of honor.
