Discotek Announces DVD Release of Saint Seiya Movies (Updated)

The North American home video distributor Discotek announced on Monday through its Facebook page that it will be releasing four Saint Seiya movies on DVD. The four films will be released under the names Evil Goddess Eris (Saint Seiya Gekijōban), The Heated Battle of the Gods (Saint Seiya: Kamigami no Atsuki Tatakai), Legend of Crimson Youth (Saint Seiya: Shinku no Shōnen Densetsu), and Warriors of the Final Holy Battle (Saint Seiya: Saishū Seisen no Senshi-tachi).
A later post specified that the films would be released with Japanese audio subtitled in English, with the first two movies (Evil Goddess Eris and The Heated Battle of the Gods on one DVD, and the other two on a second DVD.
The new Saint Seiya Omega anime started airing on April 1, and is being simulcast by Crunchyroll. Viz Media published the 28th Saint Seiya manga volume in North America in 2010, and ADV Films and DiC Entertainment released the Saint Seiya anime in North America. The Saint Seiya video anime spinoff, Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas - Meiō Shinwa, launched its second season last year. The media-distribution website Crunchyroll streamed both seasons of Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas - Meiō Shinwa in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Ireland.
