Sunabozu Returns

Sunabozu's (Desert Punk) three year hiatus is over with Enterbrain's Monthly Comic Beam announcing it's return in their May issue on the 12th of April. Sunabozu was created by Masatoshi Usune in 1997 and has been published on and off by Monthly Comic Beam ever since. The series follows a mercenary bounty hunter's journey through the post-apocalyptic remains of Tokyo.

Initial D Driving Towards Finale

Kodansha's Young Magazine has revealed that Shūichi Shigeno's Initial D manga is heading towards it's finale. However no exact date of the final chapter has been revealed.

New Toriko Film Trailer

The a trailer for Gekijō-ban Toriko Bishokushin no Special Menu has started streaming. The film is the first film for Mitsutoshi Shimabukuro's manga series Toriko which follows the titular Toriko, a "bishokuya" (gourmet food provider) who travels the world to hunt down the strange animals and plants needed for the finest cuisine dishes.

Serialised in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine since 2008, Toriko has been collected into 22 volumes to date. While Viz Manga publishes the series in North America, Madman Entertainment has been releasing the series in Australia, volume 14 will be published later this month and the first volume of the anime will be released in May 2013.

Evangelion Art Exhibition Website now Online

Madman Entertainment has launched the website for the Evangelion Art Exhibition in Australia with tour dates on the Gold Coast, in Sydney and Melbourne over April and May 2013.

Marvel streams new Iron Man Anime trailer

A second trailer for Marvel and MADHOUSE's Iron Man: Rise of the Technovore has been streamed on YouTube. The direct-to-video feature follows a confrontation between Iron Man and Ezekiel Stane who develops new bio-technology that seemingly outclasses the Iron Man armor. After Stane unleashes a terrorist attack and sets Tony up to take the fall, Iron Man must evade S.H.I.E.L.D.'s manhunt and find a way to clear his name.

Hiroshi Hamasaki (Shigurui: Death Frenzy, Steins;Gate, Texhnolyze) directed the film with story by Brandon Auman (The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, Iron Man: Armored Adventures). Marvel and MADHOUSE previously teamed up to create the Iron Man, Wolverine, X-Men, and Blade television anime series.

Saki Will Soon Resume

Square Enix's Young Gangan magazine has announced that Ritz Kobayashi will resume her Saki manga on the 5th of April. The hiatus occurred due to to an injury Kobayashi incurred during a research trip . Ritz Kobayashi has been drawing Saki since 2006 for Young Gangan and it has spawned a spinoff manga, two anime adaptations to date and a third series has just been green-lit.

JManga to Close

The digital manga platform, JManga, will cease operations in May with it's distribution and sales already terminated and it's purchasing service to close at the end of March. The viewing service will conclude on the 30th of May.

Second Tiger & Bunny Film Trailer

The first English promo for Tiger & Bunny The Movie -The Rising- has been uploaded to YouTube by the official Tiger & Bunny website. This is the second film, with the first Gekijō-ban Tiger & Bunny -The Beginning- having opened on the 22nd of September 2012. Siren Visual will be releasing the films in Australia in the near future.
