Go! Go! Kaden Danshi Flash Anime Gets 2nd Season

Kana Hanazawa plays a hair dryer in "easy-going conversational comedy"

The film of DLE's (Dream Link Entertainment) Go! Go! Kaden Danshi Flash anime, Go! Go! Kaden Danshi: The Movie ~Afreco Panic~ (Go! Go! Electric Men: The Movie ~Post-Recording Session Panic~) opened in Japan on Saturday, followed by the announcement that the original anime will get a second season.

A trailer for the film began streaming last month:

The film comprises both live-action footage and Flash animation. The anime and the animated portions of the film portray an "easy-going conversational comedy" between three college students that are also "electric men." Daigo Matsui, Yuichiro Nakayama, and Kenta Hamano play Renjirou (a microwave), Potton (a hot water dispenser), and Drum (a washing machine), respectively. Kana Hanazawa also appears as Dryanna (a hair dryer).

In the film, the actors play themselves recording the voices for the characters, but chaos ensues when the movie version of the show is announced. The chaos affects the characters they play in the interwoven Flash portions.

"The first ever Flash anime x live-action recording session entertainment movie" is playing in five theaters in Japan from March 8 to March 14. The second season, like the first season, will air on the Hikari TV video-on-demand service.
