Crunchyroll to Stream Hakone TV Anime

Also confirms Komori-san Can't Decline's streaming launch time

Media distribution service Crunchyroll announced on Sunday that it will stream the Hakone (Onsen Yōsei Hakone-chan) television anime as it airs in Japan. Crunchyroll began streaming the first episode on Sunday. New episodes will be available every Sunday at 12:30 p.m. EDT for Crunchyroll users outside of Asia.

Crunchyroll describes the series:

Based on the manga Onsen Yōsei Hakone-chan by Daisuke Yui, Hakone is about the hot spring spirit Hakone whodescended to a spa resort on Earth. Due to her long slumber however, she now looks like a little girl. High school boy Toya stumbles across her at a hot spring and ends up helping Hakone retrieving her original powers.

Takeyuki Yanase (Himegoto) is directing the anime at Asahi Production and Production Reed. Korie Tomonaga (writer on Soreike! Anpanman, Funassyi no Funafunafuna Hiyori) and Momoko Murakami (writer on Pretty Rhythm Aurora Dream, Futsū no Joshikōsei ga Locodol Yattemita) are in charge of the series scripts. Yanase and Masaaki Sakurai (Nisekoi, Survival Game Club!) share the chief animation director role, and Yanase is also designing the characters. petit milady (Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal II), the singing unit featuring Aoi Yūki and Ayana Taketatsu, will perform the show's opening theme song "Hakone Hakoiri Musume."

Saki Ono voices the titular character Hakone, while Taishi Murata voices lead character Toya. Other cast include Yūki Kuwahara, M.A.O., Ayaka Asai, Aoi Yūki, and Ayana Taketatsu.

The anime series premiered in Japan on Sunday, and will run for 13 episodes on Animax, Teletama (TV Saitama), tvk, KBS Kyoto, Sun TV, and other stations.

Crunchyroll also confirmed its streaming schedule for its stream of the Komori-san Can't Decline television anime. The first episode will begin streaming on Sunday at 10:30 p.m. EDT, with every episode thereafter premiering on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. EDT for Crunchyroll users outside of Asia.

Syuri Komori is a 14-year-old girl, who is so nice that she can not turn down people's request. She gains amazing abilities while she fulfills people's request. There are many fun & happy things in her life, since she is an adolescent middle school student after all!

Kenichi Imaizumi (Katekyo Hitman Reborn!, Brynhildr in the Darkness) is directing the anime at the animation studio Artland, and Yurie Kuniyuki (Denki-Gai) is serving as character designer and chief animation director. Arte Refact (Gokujyo. Gokurakuin Joshi Kōryō Monogatari) is scoring the music, and the anime will use the song "To Aru Itsumo o" by the band Yuuhei Satellite as its theme. The show stars Aya Uchida as Shuri Komori, Ari Ozawa as Megumi Nishitori, and Maria Naganawa as Masako Negishi.
