Dance in the Vampire Bund to Return in New Manga Sequel

posted on by Alex Mateo
New manga tentatively titled 'Dance in the Vampire Bund A.S.O.'

Manga creator Nozomu Tamaki announced on his official Twitter account on March 9 that he is launching a new manga for his Dance in the Vampire Bund series. The manga's tentative title is "Dance in the Vampire Bund A.S.O.," and it will be a continuation of the most recent story in the series, Dance in the Vampire Bund II: Scarlet Order. Launch date information will be revealed at a later date.

Tamaki also revealed that TO Books will reprint the entire Dance in the Vampire Bund manga into two-in-one omnibus volumes. The compiled omnibus volumes will include color pages and new short stories about Mina.

The story follows the intrigue surrounding Mina Tepes, the princess of vampires who creates a special district for her kind off the coast of Japan. The first Dance in the Vampire Bund manga series ran in Kadokawa's Comic Flapper from 2005 to 2012. The sequel Dance in the Vampire Bund II: Scarlet Order ran in the same magazine from 2013 to 2015. Seven Seas Entertainment published both series in North America.

Seven Seas also released Tamaki's Dance in the Vampire Bund: The Memories of Sledge Hammer mini-series, the spinoff manga Dive in the Vampire Bund, and two dōjinshi collections: Dance in the Vampire Bund: Forgotten Tales and Dance in the Vampire Bund: Secret Chronicles.

The original manga inspired a television anime adaptation in 2010.
