Netflix India Streams 4 Mobile Suit Gundam Anime Films on June 18

Netflix India is listing the following Mobile Suit Gundam films for release on June 18:
- Mobile Suit Gundam I
- Mobile Suit Gundam II: Soldiers of Sorrow
- Mobile Suit Gundam III: Encounters in Space
- Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack
Netflix describes Mobile Suit Gundam I:
The Earth Federation's last hope in its fight against the Principality of Zeon is the prototype Mobile Suit Gundam, piloted by civilian Amuro Ray.
Netflix describes Mobile Suit Gundam II: Soldiers of Sorrow:
The Earth Federation warship White Base and its Gundam pilot Amuro Ray struggle to make it back through enemy territory, pursued by Zeon's warriors.
Netflix describes Mobile Suit Gundam III: Encounters in Space:
The Earth Federation prepared to take the war into the Duchy of Zeon's home territory. Veteran pilot Amuro Ray returns to space for the final battle.
The films in the Mobile Suit Gundam - The Movie Trilogy premiered in Japan between March 1981 and March 1982. Mobile Suit Gundam I uses footage from the original 1979 television anime, while the next two films add new footage.
Netflix describes Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack:
Thirteen years after the war, the Neo Zeon army threatens the peace. Armed with Nu Gundam, Amuro Ray and Federation forces take the field once more.
The film debuted in Japan in 1988 as an adaptation of Tomino's Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack - High Streamer novel. The film is set in the Universal Century timeline, and it was the first original feature-length theatrical release for the franchise. The anime was the franchise's first to include a computer-generated animation sequence.
Tomino's Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack Beltorchika's Children novel, an alternate retelling of the story, debuted in February 1988 and inspired an anime film in March 1988. Uroaki Sabishi's manga adaptation ran from 2014 to 2018.
