Pretty Rhythm Rainbow Live TV Anime's Promo Posted

posted on by Sarah Nelkin
Main cast also revealed for 3rd anime based on Takara Tomy's games for girls

The official website for the upcoming Pretty Rhythm Rainbow Live anime launched on Saturday and began streaming the television series' first promotional video. Emiri Katō narrates the video as the character Naru Ayase. The video features Prizmmy☆'s cover of TRF's song "Boy Meets Girl," which will be the anime's opening theme song.

The website also revealed the anime's main cast:

Naru, An, and Ito are Prism Stars under the Pretty Top office, while Beru, Wakana, and -otoha- are their rivals who belong to another office. Rinne is a girl with amnesia who appears to be about 14 or 15 years old. She is usually emotionless until it comes to Prism Shows. Rinne previously made an unvoiced appearance in the Pretty Rhythm: My Deco Wedding Nintendo 3DS port of the original arcade game.

Itō has played fashion coordination guide Meganee since the first television anime, Pretty Rhythm Aurora Dream, and she also narrates the arcade game and Nintendo 3DS port. Sakura played heroine Ayami in the second anime series, Pretty Rhythm Dear My Future.

A pamphlet at the Tokyo Anime Fair also revealed that Prizm☆Project will perform the anime's ending theme "RainBowxRainBow." Prizm☆Project combines Prizmmy☆, the real-life dance vocal unit who have performed in the anime franchise, with seven other young female performers.

Pretty Rhythm Rainbow Live will be set in a different world from the previous anime based on Takara Tomy's Pretty Rhythm Mini-Skirt arcade game for girls. The story will center around Naru Ayase, an imaginative second-year middle school girl. Her dream is to eventually own a fashion shop like Dear Crown. One day, she learns that a new shop is looking to hire a middle school girl (who knows how to "Prism Dance") to run the shop, and she quickly applies. She goes to the job tryouts, where a mysterious girl named Rinne appears.

The final episode of the previous Pretty Rhythm television series, Pretty Rhythm Dear My Future, also aired on Saturday. Pretty Rhythm Rainbow Live will premiere this Saturday.
